Prom Project℠

Overview

For 17 years, Girl Talk Foundation, Inc. has fulfilled its mission to transform the lives of girls ages 11 to 16 through character-building programs that develop self-awareness, self-management and social competence. To date 30,000 girls have been served through our signature program Prom Project.

Due to increased demand and in order to ensure continued growth, we announce the transition of the Girl Talk’s signature program – Prom Project℠.

Effective January 2020, Prom Project℠ will have a new permanent home, Lydia’s Prom Closet of Huntersville, NC. Girls from Charlotte and the surrounding communities will continue to be able to secure prom attire and benefit from self-empowerment learning sessions.

Girl Talk is honored to have provided a safe space for participants to address adolescent issues. The growth we have seen in our girls makes us all proud.  As a nonprofit agency, we see this transition point as an opportunity for the girls of Charlotte and other communities to be served in a much larger way.

Prom Project℠ is MORE THAN JUST A DRESS! It’s an EXPERIENCE for high school girls whether they attend prom or not.
