Prom Project™ is an effort to collect and distribute donated formal wear so that HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS have the opportunity to feel beautiful for their prom or social. But it’s MORE THAN JUST A DRESS!
Girls get to choose a dress, shoes and accessories from a make-shift boutique free of charge, but as a pre-requisite to shopping, girls attend a 90-minute etiquette class. There is real conversation from professionals about appropriate social and dining etiquette. Girls hear from law enforcement experts on prom safety and from experts who offer tips on beauty and fashion.
Then it’s off to shop for that perfect dress! The event is designed to provide girls with not only formal wear, but the skills needed to feel confident, smart, proud and powerful.
