What happens after the Girl Talk “Tailoring Teens for Success” curriculum? Graduating girls become GIRL TALK JEWELS. JEWELS meet monthly to continue building self-esteem and developing leadership skills. They hold office positions, take educational field trips including college tours, coordinate community service events, create fundraisers as well as represent Girl Talk at various community activities including workshops, focus groups, parades and more!
JEWELS meet the THIRD SATURDAY of each month at ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center, 300 East Seventh Street, uptown Charlotte. A specials thanks to our community partner, The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library.
You must be a Girl Talk member to participate as a Jewel.
