Girl Talk is happy to be a part of a national campaign to help women and girls define their own beauty. The No Shade Campaign is the brainchild of staff at Urban Skin Solutions – a medspa and laser center that specializes in skin care for diverse skin tones.
Owner and Founder Rachel Roff was always bothered there weren’t any beauty companies that catered to women of color. Roff, a licensed esthetician, set out to change that. Not long after her companies Urban Skin Solutions and Urban Skin RX were born.
The No Shade Campaign celebrates women and girls and their individual beauty. Seven Girl Talk girls participated sharing their one word to describe their ‘shade.’ Their poster will be on display at Urban Skin Solutions through the end of December.
Urban Skin will donate $5 to Girl Talk when someone visits their site – MyShadeis.com – shares their shade, tags them and visits their spa for a service. Patrons of the spa can Text2Give to Girl Talk.
