GIRL TALK JEWELS

Girl Talk encourages leadership and volunteerism in girls through the Girl Talk Jewels Program.

What happens after Girl Talk “Tailoring Teens for Success” curriculum? Graduating girls then become GIRL TALK JEWELS. Girls meet monthly to continue building self-esteem and developing leadership skills. Girls coordinate community service events, create fundraisers as well as represent Girl Talk at various community activities including workshops, focus groups, parades and more!

Girls meet the THIRD SATURDAY of each month, 10am – Noon at UNC-Charlotte Student Union Bldg., 9201 University City Blvd., Charlotte, NC.

To become a Girl Talk Jewel, girls MUST COMPLETE:

  • at least 8 sessions of “Tailoring Teens for Success” curriculum
  • an application for membership
  • an in-person interview with a Girl Talk Jewel Coordinator
